Introduction

CloudNine was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. The company is the eDiscovery industry pioneer behind LAW and Concordance — two of the longest-running document processing and review platforms in the market. In June 2021, CloudNine closed a funding round led by Denver-based private equity firm Crest Rock Partners. More than 1,000 corporations, law firms, government agencies, and legal service providers use CloudNine applications.

CloudNine's product suite includes CloudNine Explore for early case assessment and culling, LAW for document processing and conversion, Concordance for on-premise document review, and CloudNine Review for secure cloud-based review and production. The suite is designed for the full eDiscovery lifecycle from preservation and collection through processing, review, analysis, and production. It handles both traditional document formats and modern data types including chat and collaboration platform data.

CloudNine's differentiator is its dual on-premise and cloud deployment model, giving organizations with strict data residency or security requirements the option to keep sensitive matters in-house while still accessing modern processing and review workflows. Its legacy products retain large installed bases at enterprises that have standardized on Concordance over decades.

Best fit: Law firms, legal service providers, and corporate legal departments with complex data environments, strict security requirements, or established on-premise workflows that need proven eDiscovery processing and review capabilities.
